Make an impact as our Competence Lead for Performance Media Buying, shaping the future and inspiring a team committed to growth. We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to take on the role of Competence Lead – Performance Media Buying. With full in-house ownership of Paid Search and active optimization of Paid Social and LinkedIn campaigns, you will play a key role in driving digital performance, guiding team direction, and collaborating closely with partners like Google, Meta, and our Nordic performance agency.

 

About the role 

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of five talented specialists responsible for Paid Search and Social Media Buying across the Nordics. The team runs Paid Search fully in-house and optimizes Paid Social and LinkedIn campaigns. You will drive performance and efficiency by working hands-on with the team and in close collaboration with our Nordic performance agency and platform partners like Google and Meta. 

 

Your key responsibilities include: 

·      Leading and coaching the team to achieve common goals while fostering a strong sense of unity within the entire marketing team

·      Provide clear direction and leadership to the team by making timely, informed decisions

·      Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment grounded in respect, curiosity, and continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals

·      As a functional leader some hands-on work with Meta and google account will be part of your tasks and responsibilities

·      Budget ownership and forecasting (Owning the budget and forecasting in close collaboration with the Head of Performance Marketing)

·      Setting targets and following up on results 

·      Ensuring operational excellence and performance-driven campaign execution 

·      Working closely with the Head of Performance Marketing, internal stakeholders and analysts 

·      Driving new initiatives around automation, AI, and marketing effectiveness 

·      Supporting campaign strategy and implementation across all Nordic markets 

·      Collaborating with Legal and other internal teams to drive improvements and enable new tools and features. 

·      Breaking down complex marketing and technical topics into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. 

·      As a functional leader some hands-on works with Meta and google account will be part of your tasks and responsibilities

About the team

You will be part of the Performance Marketing department and report directly to the Head of Performance Marketing. Our team combines creativity with data and media expertise to drive growth in all our Nordic markets. The media buying team works closely with colleagues in digital marketing, ad tech, SEO, analytics and brand to ensure a seamless customer experience and strong marketing performance. We are a supportive, fun, and driven group who believe in collaboration, respect and continuous learning. Who are you?

You are a structured and positive team player with a growth mindset, combining a strategic approach with strong decision-making skills. Drawing from your hands-on experience in performance marketing, you thrive in working closely with the business, ensuring that every action aligns with broader objectives. Confident in Paid Search and with a solid understanding of Paid Social. You are skilled at coaching and developing your team, driving performance and ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.

You can confidently make decisions that support the business’s strategic direction, and you're not afraid to say ‘no’ when it ensures we stay aligned with our objectives and strategy. You are comfortable navigating English-speaking environment, and you thrive in cross-functional collaboration, maintaining open and clear communication withing Performance marketing as with the business to drive impactful results.

You also have: 

·      A minimum of 5 years of experience in Performance Marketing 

·      Strong knowledge of Paid Search and Meta platforms, and understanding of the whole marketing strategy from brand to tactical

·      You have a strong understanding of how combining paid media and paid search drives better performance and delivers integrated results

·      Good understanding of GA4 and web analytics tools 

·      Experience managing media agencies 

·      Previous leadership experience or clear potential to lead 

·      Good understanding of marketing automation and campaign efficiency 

·      Proven experience with budgeting, reporting and KPI analysis 

·      Ability to break down complex or technical topics to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way 

·      Great communication and stakeholder management skills

·      A relevant academic degree

 

Additional facts and the recruitment process 

·      Application deadline: Screening and interviewing will start immediately. 

·      Work location: Stockholm (Bergshamra), Espoo (Keilaniemi), Oslo (Vækerø) or Copenhagen (Ballerup). 

·      Travelling: 3–6 times a year within the Nordics. 

·      Start: As soon as possible/by agreement.
